A sex toy thief has been ordered to pay £1,200 compensation to his victim after a street brawl where he knocked his love rival unconscious and scarred him for life. Jason Sturrock assaulted Colin Stewart in Alyth, Perthshire, during a post-drinking session run-in. Stewart lost consciousness after being punched by Sturrock, causing him to strike his head on the pavement and suffer permanent disfigurement. In addition to the compensation, Sturrock has been sentenced to 300 hours of unpaid work as an alternative to prison time.
This incident was not Sturrock’s first brush with the law. Previously, he was sentenced to 225 hours of unpaid work for breaking into a woman’s home and stealing a sex toy from her bedroom drawer. Sturrock entered the empty house through a window, accusing his ex-partner of infidelity via text messages while inside. The court heard that his actions were distressing for the victim, who discovered the missing item upon returning home.
Sturrock’s sentencing was delayed until he completed the unpaid work order related to the sex toy theft.
