Dumfries and Galloway Yogurt Producer Welcomes Royal Visitor
In a special event on Thursday, the award-winning yogurt producer, Rowan Glen near Palnure in Dumfries, had the pleasure of welcoming a distinguished guest, HRH The Princess Royal. This visit held significant meaning as Princess Anne had previously been to the business in 1997 to inaugurate the factory. The history of Rowan Glen saw a challenging period when almost 50 employees lost their jobs following the closure of the plant by Dale Farm Ltd in autumn 2022. However, with the backing and financial support from South of Scotland Enterprise, the site was revived under the name Rowan Glen Ltd.
