Overnight closures have been scheduled for a motorway stretch near Dunblane, with the A9 set to undergo maintenance work starting this weekend. The closures will affect the northbound off-slip at Dunblane and lane one of the northbound carriageway. The closure will be in effect from 7.30pm to 6.30am each night, commencing on Sunday, December 15, and continuing until Friday, December 20.
The maintenance work is focused on upgrading signage on an overbridge near the A9 northbound off-slip with the B8033. During the closures, traffic wishing to exit at the B8033 northbound off-slip will be diverted north on the A9 to Millhill Road at Greenloaning. From there, drivers can return to the A9 southbound before exiting at the B8033 southbound off-slip.
Amey Scotland, the company overseeing the works, has advised that all activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled or cancelled if conditions are unfavourable. The closures are necessary to ensure the safety and efficiency of the motorway stretch near Dunblane.
