Motherwell school partners with local Rotary club for exciting initiative

A local school in Motherwell has recently announced a new partnership with the Motherwell and Wishaw Rotary Club, introducing an exciting new initiative. Bothwellpark High School has proudly declared itself to be a Rotary Lend with Care Embassy Ambassador School after collaborating with the local Rotary club.

Amanda McLeod, a teacher at Bothwellpark, expressed her enthusiasm for this partnership, stating that becoming a Rotary ambassador school has provided them with the chance to assist those who are less fortunate around the world. She highlighted the school’s pride in supporting individuals, families, and communities in achieving sustainable goals and dreams for a better and more self-sufficient life.

The collaboration involves supporting Lend With Care, a unique platform that empowers people in low-income countries to overcome poverty with dignity. Through Lend With Care, individuals can lend as little as £15 to help fund small businesses. Once the loan is repaid, the funds can be recycled to support more entrepreneurs, donated, or withdrawn. Currently operating in 11 countries, Lend With Care ensures that 100% of the lent money goes directly to the supported entrepreneurs.

Bothwellpark High School looks forward to continuing its partnership with the Rotary Club of Motherwell and Wishaw to further promote the impactful work they do in aiding others. The school aims to spread awareness and appreciation for the Rotary club’s efforts in making a difference in communities worldwide.

In conclusion, this collaboration between Bothwellpark High School and the local Rotary club exemplifies the power of community partnerships in creating opportunities for positive change.
