Edinburgh police have released CCTV images of two men as they continue their investigation into Bonfire Night disorder in the city. The images were made public to help identify the individuals involved in firework-related anti-social behaviour that took place on Captains Road in Gracemount on November 5.
Following the incidents, which saw police targeted with pyrotechnics, bricks, and bottles from Halloween to Bonfire Night, at least 19 people have been arrested, with over 26 charges filed. In a plea for assistance, officers from Police Scotland are urging anyone who may recognise the men in the CCTV images to come forward.
The first man is described as white, aged between 20 and 22, standing at 5ft 4ins with a slim build. He was wearing a black baggy jumper with the hood up, a black Canada Goose puffer jacket with a logo on the left arm, and dark trousers. The second man is also white, aged between 20 and 25, with fair/blond hair. He was seen wearing a grey North Face jacket with black sleeves, a red hoodie, black Nike trousers, and black Nike trainers with white soles.
Detective Sergeant Steven Dick stated, “We are keen to talk to these males as we believe they may have information which could assist with our enquiries. The males pictured, or anyone who may recognise them, are asked to please contact us.” Anyone with information is urged to contact the police by calling 101 and quoting the Gracemount incident from November 5, 2024.
