Give4Good Campaign Provides Support to Dumfries and Galloway Charities
A heartwarming initiative called Give4Good has brought joy and financial support to various charities in Dumfries and Galloway. The staff at Russell Roof Tiles, based in Lochmaben, raised an impressive total of £28,000, which was split equally among five deserving causes in the region.
The Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre, Lockerbie Wildlife Trust, Dumfries Veterans Garden, Boreland-based Sports Driving Unlimited, and Moffat Mountain Rescue Team each received a generous donation of £5,586.60. These charities were selected by the Russell Roof Tiles employees as beneficiaries of their Give4Good charity program, aimed at making a positive impact in the local community.
The fundraising efforts by the Russell Roof Tiles team included a variety of events such as baking, sports activities, challenges like Race Across Europe and Tough Mudder, as well as comedy and race nights. The company not only surpassed its original fundraising target of £50,000 but also achieved a record-breaking total of £80,690 in 2024.
In addition to supporting local charities, Russell Roof Tiles extended their generosity to two international charities – Footprints Family and Odisha Football Club Kids in Poverty Fund – along with five charities in Burton on Trent, where the company is based.
