Six Lanarkshire kebab shops have made it to the semi-finals of the British Kebab Awards, with the winners set to be revealed on February 26, 2025. Among the top contenders in Lanarkshire are Asian Tandoori in Cambuslang, Grillzz – German Döner & Peri Peri in Wishaw, Polski Kebab in Motherwell, Real Spice in Cumbernauld, Mr Chef in Uddingston, and Spices in Bellshill.
Glasgow has also secured its place in the competition with eleven nominations, including popular establishments such as BABS on West Nile Street, Hajar’s Shawarma on Sauchiehall Street, and Shawarma King on King Street and Dundas Street, among others.
The prestigious awards ceremony will take place at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel in London, honouring the best kebab chefs, restaurants, and takeaways in Britain. Kebab enthusiasts have the opportunity to vote for their favourite establishments in various categories such as Best Delivery, Chef of the Year, Fine Dining Restaurant, and more.
