Ten individuals have been arrested in connection with alleged historical abuse at Kerelaw Residential School in Stevenston, North Ayrshire, a facility for vulnerable or troubled youths that operated until 2004. Between January and May of this year, Police Scotland made a total of 10 arrests in relation to allegations of abuse at the school, including three women. The arrests involved seven men and three women, aged between 52 and 77, in connection with alleged sexual and physical abuse that occurred in the past. Reports on these arrests have been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
