Max Verstappen makes prediction on Red Bull’s form for rest of 2024 F1 season

Max Verstappen, the Dutch Formula One driver, has shared his optimistic outlook on Red Bull Racing’s performance for the remainder of the 2024 F1 season. Verstappen, who had a strong start to the season with seven wins in the first ten races, has faced a winless streak of eight races since June’s Barcelona Grand Prix. This dry spell has seen McLaren surpass Red Bull in the constructors’ standings, with Lando Norris narrowing Verstappen’s lead in the drivers’ championship to 52 points, as they head into the final six races of the season.

Following his second-place finish behind Norris at the Singapore Grand Prix, Verstappen expressed confidence that Red Bull is on the right track towards improvement. Despite the recent challenges, Verstappen remains positive about the team’s progress, stating, “I do think we are moving in the right direction now, it will take some time.” He acknowledged the positive steps taken in Baku and believes that further improvements are on the horizon as they strive to regain their winning form.

When asked if he believes Red Bull’s slump is a thing of the past, Verstappen affirmed, “Yes, I do think so to be honest.” He emphasised the complexities of Formula One development, mentioning how teams navigate different approaches to car development. Verstappen’s insights shed light on the intricacies of the sport and the ongoing evolution of car performance throughout the season.

Verstappen fans can look forward to seeing him back in action at the United States Grand Prix in Austin on 18-20 October, where he aims to continue Red Bull’s progress and secure crucial points in the championship race. As the competition heats up towards the season finale, all eyes will be on Verstappen and his team as they strive to reclaim their winning momentum and defend their title aspirations in the highly competitive world of Formula One.
